Dear Friends,
Our prayers are with you as you celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ here on earth.
May God greatly bless all of you through this joyous season.
The situation in Côte d'Ivoire has not improved. I have been following developments daily at
http://www.abidjanpost.com
and through calling our people in Côte d'Ivoire. I have situated Becky and the
children in the Cleveland, Ohio, area where they can attend our home church and be helped by different
family members. I will be flying into Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on January 2nd. I am doing this to arrange our home, church, and clinic for a longer
absence on our part. As well, I would like to get some slides, photos, and display items for furlough.
Upon completing these objectives, I will be returning to the states to take furlough. At that point, I will begin contacting our supporting churches
to set up opportunities to come and report on the ministry in Côte d'Ivoire.
If, at any point leading up to officially scheduling furlough meetings, the situation resolves in Côte d'Ivoire, we will return to the country as a
family and postpone furlough until the end of 2004.
We will soon be sending a new family photo. Please pray that the Lord would continue to protect us and give us wisdom. I especially request your
prayers for safety while I am in Côte d'Ivoire starting on January 2, 2003.
May God greatly bless you during the Christmas season,
