September/October 2008
Dear Family and Friends,
This year has been a terrific year in the Bingerville ministry
for two reasons. This first reason is that we have been able to
host many visitors from the states and Canada, who have come to
Bingerville to visit our mission field. So far in 2008, we have
had a total of 40 people come to visit. We have had visitors
with us for nearly 120 days of this year already.
This is a great encouragement to my family and me as well as our
national Christians here. We have had construction groups,
medical groups, local pastors with their members, and other
preparing missionaries come. Both my family and our nationals
know that we are not alone while working here in Bingerville,
Côte d’Ivoire.
The second reason that we are having such a good year is our
construction. We will be putting the roof on our school building
at the beginning of December and then will only need to fit the
building with its doors and windows. The Lord has blessed with
the financing for this building.
As well, we have broken ground for our church building. The Lord
provided the funds to finish the architectural work, reposition
our temporary church building and gate, and start the foundation
for this permanent church building. Our current funds will be
enough to finish the foundation. The photos below shows
our construction. One is of the school building and the other is
doing the footers of our permanent church building.
We look forward to other construction projects in the future. In
the meantime, we hope to make good progress on our church
building even before the end of this year. We greatly appreciate
your prayers that the Lord would supply the needed funds.
Our ministry is going well. We will soon send an update on
all our activities for 2008.
Most sincerely in Christ,
